Elaisa Wellness set out to create an exclusive wellness destination in the heart of the Hoge Kempen National Park. From the very beginning, sustainability was considered an essential part of the concept. The ambition was not only to offer visitors a unique wellness experience, but also to develop a complex that would excel in energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.

This ambition brought several challenges. The scale and energy-intensive nature of a wellness facility require a reliable and robust energy supply. At the same time, the solution had to align with ambitious sustainability goals, focusing on reducing energy consumption, lowering CO₂ emissions and maintaining control over operational costs.

In addition, the integration of multiple technologies was crucial. Heating, cooling and ventilation systems needed to work seamlessly together to guarantee maximum comfort for visitors while operating as efficiently as possible.

Encon supported Elaisa Wellness in developing an integrated energy concept tailored to the specific needs of the project. The objective was to combine different technologies into one efficient and future-proof system.

A solution was designed that maximises the use of renewable energy while optimising overall energy performance.
